The digital images in this series were collected and arranged by Tony Hartigan, Humes Pipeline Systems Ltd Product Manager, for the Hume History Book commemorating 90 years since establishment in New Zealand in 1923. Most of the items are also held in other Hume series in photographic print format
After the publication and distribution of the books in September 2013, the books were recalled on the order of Mark Malpass at Fletcher Building Corporate Office. It was considered that the page entitled People and featured Hume 1970s advertisments showing semi naked female models was inappropriate. A new page was printed for insertion in the book. The book in this series is the original version with the new page tucked inside
