Tasman Forestry Ltd: 1994 An excavator with grapple places each tree atop the delimber, where shear arms close against the trunk. As the grapple hauls each log through, the shears remove all branches up to 65 cm in diameter. The unit, adapted from a Bell delimber, is run by remove control from the excavator cab, where operator Paul Groot can safely delimb 200 to 250 trees per day
