The Lyttelton Tunnel project was undertaken by the Civil Engineering Division of the Fletcher Construction Company. The tunnel was officially opened on the 27Feb1964 by the Governor General Sir Bernard Fergusson. The series includes views of the tunnel under construction, completed tunnel entrance, surrounding Port Hills and the opening ceremony
