Description
The farewell function for Hugh Fletcher, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fletcher Challenge Ltd (1987- 1997), was held at the Ellerslie Conference Centre on 5 December 1997. The function was attended by employees from the corporate office and subsidiaries, business units, members of the Fletcher family, and former staff and retirees of the company. The master of ceremonies was Ken Howard, chief executive of the Concrete Sector and speeches were given by the new CEO Michael Andrews, and the Chairman of the FCL Board of Directors, Bill Wilson. The photographs were taken during the evening by McCabe Photography Ltd. An album containing copies of prints 1-56 was presented to HA Fletcher after the event.
