Description
This series consists of the construction of Challenge House, with two entrances - one at 105-109 The Terrace, and the other at Lambton Quay, Wellington. The front of the building was on Lambton Quay and many of the items are street views from Lambton Quay. The series follows the progress of the construction from the pre-construction site to the official opening in 1967.
The building was originally refered to as the "Head Office" of Wright Stephenson & Co Ltd. By 1967 the building was referred to as "Challenge House" and later changed to Marac House. and later to Morrison Morpeth House. The pysical location of the building is somtimes given as Lampton Quay.
