Description
Clifford U Plimmer became Managing Director of Wright Stephenson & Co Ltd on 1 January 1953 and later that year he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wright Stephenson & Co Ltd. In 1967, he received a KBE for services to business, industry and public affairs, becoming Sir Clifford Plimmer. At the end of 1967, Sir Clifford Plimmer retired from the post of Managing Director, remaining executive Chairman of the Company. In 1970, having retained the age of 65 years, Sir Clifford retired from the Board and its Executive Chairman.
