Full original caption reads:
"Public interest in the demolition of the A.N.Z. Bank was concentrated on the pillars of the Queen Street entrace which were believed to be of solid kauri. In fact they were masonry and the only kauri foiund was a small plug found here by foreman Johnny Davis. Demolishing a pillar are Steve Campbell (left) and Terry Skinner [see P0096/16]."
