Description
The gas pipline contract was awarded in 1968 and involved laying pipeline from Kapuni to Auckland and Kapuni to Wellington. The series includes aerial views, close-ups and panoramic views of rugged terrain in which the pipeline was laid. Many items include proof sheets which may not be individually listed. The images are of heavy machinery, bulldozers and trucks working on steep hillside country, crossing rivers and flat farmland. Also staff and contractors in various locations.
