Description
Winstone Aggregates Limited: Company number recorded as 40074; Lunn Avenue Quarry was located on the North side of Mt Wellington. Winstone Ltd established ithe quarry in 1936 and in 2001 the quarry was closed. The material from the quarry was used in projects all over Auckland City including the construction of roads and motorways and Mangere International Airport. Many of the images featured in Winstone News and Winstone's Centennial publication
