The series consists of aerial photographs commissioned by Winstone Ltd for the publication of the Winstone Centennial publication 'The First Century', 1964. The views are of the New Zealand cities where Winstone Ltd branches were located. Also included are Winstone sites and plants including Lunn Avenue Quarry, Three Kings Quarry, Mt Roskill and the Hamilton branch at Te Rapa.
